SMART KID SA is a company that introduced a device called Smart Kid Belt (SKB) – a belt that protects children while driving.
We are working together to develop other products that would protect children.
Establishing an automatic system for detecting inappropriate websites
The project aims to build a tool that will filter content inappropriate for minors on the internet in Poland. The solution will be based on an ML system that, based on labeled training data (such as page URLs, titles, tags, content), will “learn” to recognize incorrect pages.
By “inappropriate sites,” we mean webpages that are unwanted or dangerous for the user, and content on the internet, including pornography, violence, gambling, drugs/legal highs. The system will be provided in the form of a service API that will be available for different clients, e.g., Android app.
The project hasn’t been commercialized yet. The system correctly categorizes more than 98 percent of websites.
PROJECT PLANNED IN 2021:
Development of a prototype system for image analysis for the Polish Police.
Project description: In this project we aim to develop an AI technology necessary to create a prototype of a high-performance system for the analysis and classification of photos, especially of a pedophile nature, and testing it in real conditions.
The main driver of the development of the planned AI system is the protection of the rights of children who are sexually abused. The project results will aid the development of operational capabilities of security services related to supporting the detection process and combating crime (including organized crime and counteracting terrorism).
Works will be carried out in 5 stages of scientific research and 3 stages of development works. As part of scientific research, IT solutions will be verified and the algorithm for mass multi-level photo analysis will be developed. The development stage includes the product testing process, modifications depending on the correct validation and the presentation of a full-fledged demo version.
